FACILITY 1

The facility has its origins in aerobics (gymnastics body modeling of movements in music) , which itself arises from the jazz -dance or gym- jazz.
In 1968, MD Kenneth H. Cooper (en), lieutenant -colonel in the Army of the United States , developing a concept of physical activities to provide a gain of form (based on activation of the cardiovascular system ) to its practitioners. To prove the usefulness of his exercises , he published a book entitled Aerobics .
In the 1970s , the aerobics movement develops, consolidates and becomes media especially under the leadership of Jane Fonda . It creates its own method of work she calls Work Out .
In the 1980s , fitness happens in France . Véronique and Davina are the precursors of a new movement that is gaining momentum . It is televised Gym Tonic which reveals the general public and that brings us the famous intergenerational tube : toutouyoutou .
In 1986, Gin Miller creates during a major component of fitness : the step .
In the 1990s, B.T.S. (Body Training System) appear and give rise to what is called : Body pump , Body Balance , Body Combat , Body Attack , Body Jam , ...
Through the customer requirements and new structures of fitness , the evolution of fitness in the 2000s had the effect the arrival of a more diverse clientele with more niches , accessible and adapted many and growing number of activities in addition to traditional activities.
Teaching is also professional. The business has evolved and personalized services developed ( mentoring or individual counseling ) .
In recent years, a number of independent structures have failed. The arrival of major retailers , franchises , is an explanatory factor .

Activities:

Activities can take on both:
cardiovascular training (also called cardio training anglicism "cardio"), which includes endurance activities performed inside with simulator-ergometers, as the cycle ergometer (bike) simulator stairs, treadmill, rower, etc.).
rhythmic gymnatisque or aerobics, which basically revolves around choreographed group lessons (step ...) music or muscle building based lightweight (fitness ...) or load (during "abs buttocks thighs" ...).
By the use of massive weight, strength training is obviously not considered fitness.
